Welcome to the Half Door Restaurant, one of the longest established restaurants in Dingle. Located on the Dingle Peninsula and opened since 1977, while Denis and Teresa took over in 1991. Since opening we have now become a family-run restaurant located on John Street.

We aim to provide our customers with a Warm and Lively Dining Experience serving seafood, meats and vegetarian options in a relaxed and comfortable environment. We are a small establishment seating up to 60 people at a time. We cater for small parties, more intimate evening meals, and lunches with ease.

Our Ethos at the Half Door to which has helped us become one of the longest run restaurants in Dingle is “providing Quality Food sourced locally”. Our Head Chef Teresa O’ Connor focuses on seasonal produce to create each signature dish here at the Half Door.

Denis O Connor qualified as a Chef from Rockwell College, went onto work in England, America and Australia. When Denis first arrived in Dingle, he was the head chef in the Skellig Hotel until purchasing the Half Door. Denis and Teresa strive to provide customers with produce modern to Irish food at competitive prices where all dishes are produced from scratch in our kitchen. The Half Door Restaurant is warm, cosy and welcoming.
